6) Planning - Target Audience

After doing a lot of research on the genre of our song, we noticed that it’s aimed at a specific audience. Songs that are based of relationships and romance stereotypically are aimed at women and this song really shows that.

The age group we thought this would appeal to are teenagers and young adults because of the relationships you go though when you are young, the lyrics and the style of music portrays this. As the artist is roughly around that age you can see why it would appeal to her target audience.

Through our music video we will need to carefully consider the story we want to tell and make it fit with the song, if we overdo it then the audience won’t appreciate the story are trying to tell and see it as a typically cliché break up when actually there is an important story being told through the song.
