There are various different styles of
music such as:
Country/Folk, Hip
Hop, R&B, Alternative/Indie, Rock, Pop, Punk, Classical, Acoustic, Musical, Art,
Modern, Jazz, Blues, Electro, Funk, Dance, House, Dub
step, Rap, Metal, etc.
Our group researched and listened to
lots of different styles taking into consideration the kind of music video we
wanted to make. At first we were very interested in the Rock genre as it's very
bold and energetic, but considering the amount of setting up (such as transport
for equipment), the time available and people we'd have to rely on we
voted against it.
We listened to my iPod looking at other
suggestions until a lot of Acoustic music played and we decided that it would
be a great style to choose because of the simplicity of it.
Many video ideas would fit well to it
and it would be easy and flexible and simple to perform.
